After my little technical frustration with getting pictures on my site, and consulting with my angry designer friend, I basically gave up on the idea of ever backdating my posts. Then, I decided to go back to a forum, tweak the CSS a bit, and I’ve figured out how to make portrait images a decent size as long as they’re center-aligned, and make landscape images not break the page if they’re left-aligned. I know this is all jibber jabber. But there’s something quite satisfying in figuring something out, even if it’s just a temporary hack that ultimately does not solve all my problems. For the time being, however, it serves my purposes, and now I can move on and start posting trip highlights as well as low points. If anything, it’ll prove to be a distraction from all the other things that currently suck in life.
